The Institute of Traditional Irish Music

Founded in 1997, the Institute of Traditional Irish Music, headquartered in Burr Ridge, Illinois, is a non-profit organization dedicated to Irish traditional music in Chicago and the surrounding area. Open to people of all ages and musical skill levels, the club has fostered a welcoming community of performers and enthusiasts.This year, the Institute of Traditional Irish Music is the official host of the Midwest Fleadh, leading event organization for the Midwest Region.

The Murphy Roche School of Irish Music is the music school within the Institute of Traditional Irish Music. Reach out at murphyroche@gmail.com to donate to our scholarship funds. These funds help students learn, provide instruments to those in need, and allow young musicians the opportunity to travel to Ireland to compete for the world title in their instrument.
